Effects to create a sense of drama

Mist and Fog Effects

Mist hovering over water gives a dramatic, and eerie effect. You can also create the illusion of fire when combined with lighting. Projecting light from below, uplighting the mist creates a stunning glowing effect that is obviously safer than using real fire.  The mist/fog can be used to drift through plants and over water. It can also drift into the auditorium to create a sense of drama for your audience as it creates a noticeable drop in temperature. This effect is easy to implement and our team will work with you to discuss your requirements. In most theatres we use a high pressure system that will quickly create a large volume of very fine, atomised mist or dense fog using atomised fresh water fed directly from a tap, then  passed through a filter, UV steriliser and into the high pressure pump. The control requires single phase power and can be switched via your dimmers, alternatively we can supply dmx switch racks that only require a dmx signal.
